This weekend, Jackie (our treatment coordinator) and I traveled to Raleigh, North Carolina. We had the opportunity to learn and be mentored by Dr Ed Suh and Heather Hennen. They are two of the best dental minds out there. We were so grateful to have them share their vast knowledge with us.
We spent most of our time on day 1 learning the best steps to bond or “glue in” a well fitting, long lasting and beautiful porcelain restoration.
Porcelain is the best material to fix a cavity or broken tooth. You can get a porcelain crown or cap and there are also porcelain fillings called inlays or onlays. Porcelain is metal free and can return the strength of your tooth to 97%. It is the best material you can use to fix and restore teeth.
We have an in house cad cam system that actually mills and fabricate these porcelains restorations right at our office. This means you can have a same day porcelain crown or filling. This not only saves another visit to the office but also allows you to avoid having to wear a temporary which can be annoying and painful.
Again, at our course this weekend, on day 2, we learnt some great tips and steps to provide these high quality same days crowns in a timely fashion. For one crown, we will work hard and have the ability to have you in and out with your crown completed in 90-120 minutes. What an awesome service!
I love dentistry. I love to use the best technology dentistry has to offer. And I love to learn. I am grateful for the opportunity to go to course an average of 2-3 days per month to better myself and my team so we can in turn provide excellent care for our awesome patients. I am also grateful for my awesome team who are always willing to learn and grow with me.
Thanks for reading 🙂 Until next time…
